Problem description
The air exchange deteriorated considerably after the façade walls have been insulated and windows replaced in the general school #1. The lack of the fresh air resulted in the appearance of mould on walls and odors in class rooms. Teachers had to open windows more frequently to air rooms letting the heat out of the building.
Solution to the problem
FIATU found the solution to the problem. Modernization of the existing ventilation was not feasible and we recommended installing decentralized heat recovery ventilation system in 5 classrooms. Now children breathe fresh air and expensive heat is no longer lost through open windows when airing.
