Problem description
When it comes to the issue of increasing energy efficiency of municipal buildings, first of all, the attention is paid to preschools and secondary schools. The educational process for the majority of children takes place in unrepaired buildings constructed in Soviet times with quite high energy bills. Primary school №17 and secondary school №5 in Izum were no exception. Old windows, walls with low properties to save heat in the building, lack of regulation of energy consumption: all these factors equally affected both the high level of energy consumption and the low comfort in buildings.
Ways to problem solving
FIATU LLC specialists with full responsibility approached the issue of making a list of measures for buildings. The defined set of measures had to achieve the following goals:
- reduce energy consumption;
- reduce dependence on the heat supplier;
- improve the quality of internal conditions in buildings;
- improve the external appearance of buildings.
Thus, a comprehensive vision was proposed for buildings, including the improvement of the properties of the building envelope and the installation of automatic regulation of heat consumption. We also didn’t forget about the appearance of buildings, which is always a nice bonus when performing renovation.
The project implementation process faced complications related to the construction process and low responsibility of the contractor. However, the extensive experience of FIATU LLC specialists in managing projects with various complexity issues allowed successfully complete the planned work. Now the buildings warmly greet their regular visitors and delight passers by. Comfort has become energy effective and attractive.
